Hello,
i just received my computer today but there is a problem with the graphic card. On my bill, and because I chose it, I should have received an "INTEL® HD GRAPHICS 610/620" but when i go to the control panel to download pilots i just see an Intel UHD Graphics 605, that don't seem to be normal.
Thank you for answering me.

Can you post your full specs?

You need to use the Post To Forum function or copy and paste it. Because that link is only visible to your account.

I assume you have the Intel N5000 CPU - which has UHD 605 graphics: https://ark.intel.com/products/128990/Intel-Pentium-Silver-N5000-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-2-70-GHz-

Modern Intel graphics are called UHD rather than HD now, though are pretty much the same, and which version of UHD you get depends on which CPU you buy. The N- CPUs are very basic, closer to what you would get in a tablet than a regular PC, and so have a bit weaker onboard graphics. For general office use it shouldn't make a difference.

1) Userbenchmark is garbage

2) Userbenchmark is garbage.

3) If Userbenchmark is ever correct about anything, it is like a broken clock that is correct twice a day.

Leaving that aside...

The laptop was listed as having HD 610 / 620 graphics depending on the CPU.

620 graphics are better than 610. Although in real terms that makes little difference as they are both perfectly capable for general office work - and for gaming you really want a dedicated graphics card anyway.

HD 610 graphics, however, are not much better than UHD 605. See:

So if you are comparing UHD 605 to anything, compare it to 610.

I'm assuming you're not bothered whether you got HD 610 or HD 620 graphics because the listing specifically says it's CPU-dependent and you clearly never checked which of the two the N5000 was meant to have, 610 or 620. Obviously it had neither, it had UHD 605. But UHD 605 is very close to HD610 in performance (apart from Cloud Gate, but the other benchmarks are very close).

And these are in synthetic benchmarks that are designed to measure potential performance differences. In real terms there is no meaningful difference between them - because HD 620, HD 610, and UHD 605 are all fine for basic office work - whereas if you intend to play games you really want a dedicated graphics card anyway...

If you're unhappy that the graphics weren't labelled properly, and I completely understand why you might be, I suggest you contact PC Specialist directly to discuss. I totally agree PCS need to label their stuff correctly.

My only point is that in real terms there's almost certainly no difference for you.

Hi there,

Please accept my apologies if this was misleading in any way. The intel graphics themselves would be the intel 605 on this particular processor, we do say processor dependant in order to explain this will depend which graphics come onboard the processor. We have amended this in our configurators to be clearer in future. As Oussebon has said, this would vary from cpu to cpu, for this reason we would encourage you to check with us if there is particular model of integrated graphics that you were looking for.

What kind of thing were you looking to do with your machine?

I bought my laptop here because that was the cheaper with an Intel 610 or 620, but without it's just a "normal" price, that's why i'm pretty disappointed. This laptop will mostly be used for office work and some 3D modeling, a good graphic card isn't mandatory, but better ofc.
should I contact the support?

I don't know how many different ways I can explain how Intel UHD 605 graphics is nearly the same as HD 610.

The CPU you chose is very weak to be honest and not one I would use for 3d modelling. I doubt the graphics will cause performance issues as much as the weak CPU.

If you want to contact PCS that's up to you.
