Hello,

DISCLAIMER: Using random batteries in your laptop is a guaranteed way to destroy it. Use the following piece of info at your own risk. I take not responsibility if you burn your laptop to a crisp.

I purchased Recoil II which is based on a Tongfang GK5CN5Z model. I am pretty happy with it as it is a very powerful machine, nevertheless the battery life can be a problem.

The specific tongfang model is quite popular and it is offered by multiple other vendors under different names. Some of them offer an extended battery that sacrifices the 2.5" hard drive bay nevertheless pc specialist does not officially support it. After some research I managed to trace the extended battery model by looking at photos of other vendors. It's a Getac GK5CN-00-13-4S1P-0 (15.2V, 4100mAh/32Wh). PC Specialist employees were kind enough to confirm that they believe the battery is supported by the chassis so I took the risk and purchased it.

I'm happy to report that it worked like a charm. I ordered it online (from China) and it took roughly 20 days to arrive in the UK. [link removed]

I also sent a message to PC Specialist to share the info in case they plan to support if officially.

Hope this will be useful to some of you.

Cheers!
