I am buying a laptop for my wife
General use plus light gaming
I am torn between the 15.6 cosmos vii and the 15.6 Vyper.

The Vyper has the GTX 1050 ti which is a lot more powerful for gaming uses. Given that you can't upgrade the laptop's GPU, the GTX 1050 ti is a much safer and more futureproof bet.

M2 drives are very fast SSD's but they're in their own section. The 1st slot only has SATA SSD's which are the old format. M2's are much much faster and around the same price, they're the new norm.

Just to mention, the Samsung 970 Evo M.2 SSD is £18 more expensive, but comes with Assassin's Creed Odyssey free and is also faster still than the Intel 760p.

So if that's a game that interests you/wife, could be worth getting that. If you're not bothered about the game and prefer to save the money, the Intel 760p is fine.
