building first computer

hello, i currently own a pre built MSi gaming computer with decent specs, intel i5, 1050ti and 8GB RAM, but i am now going to make the move to build my own more powerful gaming computer but i need help in selecting parts for the entire computer as I'm slightly clueless about cooling and what motherboard to get.

i plan on spending around £1500,
this will be for a:
- intel i7 8700k processor
- Gigabyte GTX 1080
-16 GB corsair vengeance (undecided MHz, depending on what motherboard i get)
-750w power supply
-1TB solid state hard drive
-250GB SSD

This is the main specs i would like for the computer. As its my first build i would like to stick to air cooling rather than water cooling.
would anyone be able to offer a good motherboard thats for an intel chipset and can support RAM of around 3000MHz.
also what Fan would be best for the CPU. I've seen cheap fans but unsure if it is suitable for cooling. I will be buying a case that will have high airflow so that will help keep the parts cool.

In summary i need help in selecting the motherboard and parts used for cooling. If anyone wants to offer changes to the parts i listed such as the power supply please do. as i said this is my first build so any advice would be helpful.

Are you building yourself or looking to get it built via PC Specialist? If PCS, what's your budget and what monitor are you pairing it with?

If you're assembling the PC yourself then it's worth bearing in mind that these forums belong to PC Specialist who build and sell custom PCs and laptops and so users can't advise on self build projects or competitors' specs - you could try and open forum like Tom's Hardware.
