New laptop ordered!

Hi there,

you should consider using Quick Extender Pro and be able to change the colors to your liking in the control center. This can be found in the download section of your customer account on our website. If this doesn't help, give us a ring :)
I can see how the keyboard lighting could get annoying. There has to be a setting for this though, no?

For whatever reason, it appears to be working how I intended it too, now. Maybe I just did not save it correctly, haha ^_^'

The laptop is performing very well! Really enjoying it so far! The 4K screen is REALLY nice. It's much better than the 4K TV I have, which is now making me want to upgrade my TV, too :p The onboard speakers are better than any other laptop I've heard, though I don't really use them, I hook them up to an external DAC/Amp and a nice set of headphones! :)

I am starting to see a bit of light bleeding from the corners of the display... Is this something to be concerned about? It's pretty obvious during darker loading screens... A little disappointing that this is happening to an otherwise glorious machine.

You mean it definitely wasn't there before, or it might have been but you're only now starting to notice?

When you open and close the laptop lid, where do you handle the device exactly?

Bleed can be caused by the panel being 'pinched' by the frame. You could contact PCS and have them see if they think it is worth you trying to adjust the frame. You could post photos of what it's like here in case it helps others make suggestions / you can direct PCS to the pics if you contact them

Yes, it definitely was not there previously. Its 100% noticeable when the display is pitch black, but powered.

I open and close it by holding it with both hands at the bottom of the screen.

How would one adjust the frame? I'm not seeing any fastenings where I could adjust anything.

I'm not sure I have a camera capable of capturing the actual issue but I'll give it a go. I've sent them a message but it is Sunday, so I'm not expecting to hear from them until tomorrow.

I have the exact same issue on my Vortex VIII! Contact support and hopefully they will resolve our issues. This was like this before I even used it! Except I have dead pixels too!

Quote from my thread (https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/foru...x-config-Vortex-8-Absolutely-happy-with-it!):

It seems to have dead pixels near top right and top left corners (not many though and not very noticeable (6 or more) since they are very small, but still needs to be fixed).

Your warranty should cover this issue, so contact them and hopefully this shared issue between us will be resolved by PCS.
