Optimus VI Battery & Power Adapter Startup Issue

The issue: My laptop will only turn on if I have just the power adapter plugged in. It won't turn on with just the battery in or with both in.

If just the battery, or both are in, I have to take the battery out and put it back in, then my laptop will start like normal. Otherwise it just refuses to turn on. And after taking the battery out and putting it in, my laptop starts without me pressing the power button.

It's hard to pinpoint exactly when this started - I recently installed an SSD into the laptop and I turned off the windows 10 fast start-up (and I think a few other settings), but when I first installed the SSD I never remember having this issue. It's only a few weeks later that this issue came up.

Any tips/further questions/suggestions, I'd be very grateful, thank you.

That sounds pretty much like a hardware issue to me so I think a call to PCS is your best option.
