My main concern for this laptop is the battery life, however I am thinking of purchasing an extra battery with this to solve this issue, but I'm not quite sure how I would go about charging the extra battery?

Also there is an option for 120W adapter or 180W. Which option would be the better choice to get? If it is even adviceable to get the 180W version.

I'll mainly be using this PC for general use, programming and not too heavy gaming.

Thanks for all the help everyone!

The chassis is a Clevo N850EK1.

This has an easily removable battery (flip the laptop over, slide the latch(es) and remove). You don't need to unscrew the bottom to take the battery out afaik. There's a review of this chassis here:
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Schen...517-Clevo-N850HP6-Laptop-Review.234200.0.html (different reseller, but same chassis).

As someone who got a laptop with a spare battery in the way you describe and found it was never really worth the hassle carting the spare around, I'd suggest you be sure you will actually use any spare battery you buy.

The 120W PSU is for the GTX 1050 ti. The 180W PSU is for the GTX 1060. That's all.

If you're not bothered about a 144hz screen there are cheaper options like the Vyper https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/vyper-15/ where you can configure a similar spec but get a better SSD for a similar price even without a special offer.
