Laptop Advice

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a thin laptop under 18mm, with 256GB+ SSD HDD and would love to hear anything more about 14" Enigma VIII and it's processor. I'm not looking to play games but use it to do some work while traveling. Currently my working tower PC is with i7-6800K and 16GB DDR4 and while working sometimes it hits 20% processor usage and 6-7GB ram. so would love to have some ideas how it will compare with processor from Enigma VIII.

Thank you for your time and hopefully I will get some idea if that will work for what I do.

Kind Regards
Greg

Hi,
My budget is at around £800 +/- 100.
Metatrader 4/5 + browser open long hours with a few tabs, whatsapp, skype (open the same time) libreoffice a few of them at the time. (all of that software is open at the same time).

Thank you for your interest.

Personally, I would suggest the Lafite as it has much better processors, better hard drive support (you can have a secondary HDD which you can't on the Enigma), plus the Enigma is only available with the i7 with 16Gb RAM currently. The below is absolutely maxxed out and would give excellent performance for some time to come, BUT it's 18.8mm thick??? What's the requirement for 18mm thickness?:

Thank you for your advice
I took a look at that, and removed 1TB HDD as I don't need it and changed the ram to 2x8GB and it came to the budget that I'm happy with.

Thank you so much.

Did you notice my comment on the thickness? It's 18.8mm thick that laptop, does that alter it's suitableness?

It's still a very ultra portable laptop, just about double the power and upgrade-ability of the Enigma

Yes I did, it's not that big diffrent from what I was looking for, under 20mm should be fine. I put 18 but this wasn't my max size.
Do you know by any chance how heavy will it be with all that ?

from the detailed spec in the configurator it's roughly 1.4Kg, so pretty darn good.

It's also an aluminium chassis, which is a nice finish and more robust.
