Laptop for Streaming with an Xbox One

Hi,
bit of a novice here when it comes to PC/Laptop specs. I am looking for a laptop to stream on Twitch/Youtube using my xbox one. I know i need a good processor and I don't need to worry about a good graphics card cos i'm using a console but i'm not 100% sure. i have an elgato and all the of the equipment i need but not a laptop. Can anyone help recommend a laptop?

PC would give a better spec for less £ and offer more upgrade options (storage, a graphics card if you find yourself editing videos down the line, etc).

What Elgato do you have exactly? If it's a PCIe card, it needs to be a PC.

i have an elgato HD60 i use to record gameplay from my Xbox One. My current PC is very dated and cant handle streaming and only records 720p 30fps using my elgato. I'm not interested in PC gaming as in only play on console and having a new laptop is just a preference over a desktop. My budget can't be any higher than £700

Like I said, a GPU is useful for video editing rather than gaming. If you stream and record video it's a very valid thing for you to consider leaving open as an option. Not to mention storage and other expansion possibilities. It's your money, but if you buy a laptop the chances are you're just going to be back buying a desktop before long anyway when you discover that the laptop no longer meets your needs; unlike with a desktop where you can just add the bits you need.

The desktop's hardware is the (significantly) more powerful of the two. But I think the laptop should still work.
