RTX 2060 in Gigabyte 970A-DS3P with FX6300 bottlenecking issues

So i wanna get an RTX 2060. I have the Gigabyte 970A-DS3P motherboard and an FX6300 CPU.

I know it will bottleneck, so what sort of CPU would I need? Would a $150 CPU be good like an i3 or low priced Ryzen?
Any recommendation on a CPU that would be good for this?
Or maybe recommend a different GPU that would not bottleneck?
Answer all questions if possible please

Thanks
Luke

As these forums belong to PC Specialist, we can't advise on competitors' products or self build projects. You could try an open forum like Tom's Hardware.

Whether the CPU bottlenecks the GPU - and, if it does, whether that's really a problem - depends quite a bit on the game in question, the settings you intend to play at, and the monitor you're using. Moreover, if you're only playing 1080p 60hz, an RTX 2060 is arguably overkill. Plus it depends what you're upgrading from. If you have something like a GTX 670, a good upgrade could be an RX 580 for 1080p 60hz gaming. Whereas if you already have a GTX 1070, there might not be much point buying an RTX 2060.

Any upgrade will also be affected by your case and your PSU.

So if you check in with another forum, I'd suggest posting details like all the above too as it will help with the advice they can give :)

Best of luck
