Internal WiFi card replacement

I use Clevo W650SF. BIOS show MS series as W65_67SF. Inside there is Intel Wireless-N 135 WiFi card. I would like to change it to a different one with 5 GHz frequency. I thought of Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 with Bluetooth 5.0 and I wonder if it will work with my laptop. Or maybe you can suggest something else?

The manual says inside my laptop should be Intel Wireless-N 7260, but for some reason, it is Intel Wireless-N 135.

The actual wireless card fitted to your laptop will be listed in the original spec. The N135 was a pretty standard card in many Clevo laptops, my old Optimus IV has one.

AFAIK the 9260 will physically fit, but I don't know whether you'd get 5GHz (or 802.11ac) from it with the antennas built in to the chassis. I'd strongly advise phoning PCS to double check before buying.

The Wi-Fi connection doesn't work properly on my Windows 10. I have recently updated it and it is showing Windows 10 Preparing Automatic Repair Error[/URL. Is it my laptop problem?
