Streaming PC Build - Noob in need of help :)

Hi everyone, just wanted some guidance on a build mostly for streaming and editing my budget is £1200 but it can be flexible. Also any possible suggestions for monitors with a high response time? I play on console but just want a pc to stream for my console and youtubing etc.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Is that £1200 including the monitor? Or £1200 for the PC, plus a separate budget for the monitor? If so what's the monitor budget?

Do you intend to play games at all on the PC? What sort of games?

When you say you want a monitor with a 'high' response time (well, a 'low' response time!) are you talking about for the console or for gaming on the PC?

Do you already have a video capture card of any kind?

The £1200 is just for the pc as for the monitors I would say for 2 monitors around £700.

I don't intend to play games on my PC at all just mostly for editing and streaming.

Sorry I meant to say low response time as I game on my console but want the same monitor for my PC so it looks aesthetically pleasing.

I haven't yet bought my capture card, any recommendations?

Appreciate the response :)

This is generously more than enough for handling the Elgato capture card's requirements, and also for some editing.

Which graphics card you want will depend on which monitors you are after (and whether your editing software wants a dGPU or not). You don't need a particularly powerful graphics card at all just for the monitors, but you do need to make sure the resolutions are supported and that you can connect them. So you probably want to decide what monitors you're getting before picking the GPU.

Sorry I meant to say low response time as I game on my console but want the same monitor for my PC so it looks aesthetically pleasing.
So you need 1 monitor with a low response time for playing the games on console, and 1 monitor for the PC to display the streaming software, etc, right?

What console(s) do you game on?

Als, this article is probably worth a look:

I feel your pain, I had the flu for a week, it can be a killer! Hope your feeling better now bro.

I appreciate the advice, I'm suprised I can get it for that cheap. In terms of monitor's thats the requirement I need and I game on a PS4 pro.

Im new to everything including streamong etc so just trying to figure it out before I make blind purchases.

Question out of the blue if I didnt qant to game at the same time as streaming, just for alternative option that I could consider, is their anotger spec you would recommend?

Not gaming at the same time as streaming? You mean just streaming (e.g.) yourself talking to camera?

You'd still want a similar spec to handle the editing you were looking to do anyway.

If you wanted to record gameplay from the PS4 you'd need the capture card too. So there isn't much I think you could change.

PS4 Pro supports some games in 4k. It doesn't have freesync but worth getting a monitor with support for adaptive sync in case the next gen of Sony consoles have this.

Have a look at the LG 27UK600 (and the LG 27UK650, which is the same but with an adjustable stand and a bit more expensive) circa £400. You could pick up another budget monitor for your 2nd screen, possible a 1440p 27" one for ~£200.

Thanks! I'm assuming the 4k is for the ps4. In terms for the 1440 monitor is there one that is similar to the 4k?
I just feel ocd with different looking monitors xD

meant to say if I wanted to game whilst streaming just as an option would spec would you advise?

That was my thinking, yeah :)

I'm not sure. I didn't see anything suitable by LG. It doesn't have to be a 1440p monitor for your 2nd screen, it's just that if you have ~£700 for the monitors and spend ~£400 on something like the LG 27UK600, you can easily afford a respectable budget 1440p monitor for £200.

If you're absolutely dead set on the monitors looking the same/ very similar you could just buy 1 monitor like the 27UK600/650, see if you like it - and if you do buy another. That's around £800 for the pair, which is expensive, but it's not crazy overspending.

It's not like buying a pair of 32" gsync monitors at £800 each just for a matching set and to do nothing but look at web pages on one of them... which I've seen people say they want to do... :/

Sorry I'm being really dense here. You mean if you want to game on the PC and stream the game you are playing on the PC at the same time?

The spec above would be okay, you might want an R7 CPU although the value is very questionable. You'd definitely need a better graphics card.

Im thinking of just investing in 2 of those monitors as you said, what do you think about this monitor 'Samsung C27HG70'

Thats why im being careful with no overspending on ridiculous monitors for pointles use but 800 is doable for both and theyll be look lasting.

Correct just incase I get tired of consoles I might upgrade the cpu for the sake of it and graphics card.

Thanks for the help man, I see you around a lot on these forums you deserve more recognition :)
