In 2016, I bought a wonderful, custom-made laptop from PCSpecialist and even encouraged my sister to buy one. After almost 3 years, and due to the fact that I have an insatiable craving for video games, I felt that I sorely needed an upgrade. I could no longer play most modern games to the standard I wanted and was getting increasingly reliant on my Playstation 4. Although I will admit that I am not an expert on computers, I felt that I knew enough to go ahead with this purchase; so after researching and comparing, I decided that I wanted a new laptop as soon as possible and the prebuilt, 'Next-Day' Optimus IX fit my specifications.

Positive Comments
- Solidly built laptop computer that feels quality and well built.
- Good price for the specifications.
- Can play modern games on high/ultra settings.
- Good sized chassis with a beautiful, crisp display and lovely keyboard LED customisation.
- Fast dispatch time.
- As it's custom-made, no bothersome bloatware/shovelware - "Gods be praised!"
- Lacks fingerprint scanner. My old laptop had this but I do rather miss it. I know this is available on smaller chassis, however.
- Speakers are slightly lower quality than expected. Easily fixed with some decent headphones.
- No disc drive. Not necessarily needed with majority of games being digitally bought, but might have been nice.
- For my own specific usage, the USB ports are not greatly placed. This has been worked around through a small USB hub.
- Gets quite hot although easily offset with a cooling stand.
- Had an issue with Control Centre/Hotkey - this was fixed after reinstallation.
- Not necessarily PCSpecialist's fault but why does next day delivery not include weekends?
