Windows 10 won't boot or reset

Hi

Our new PC fired up fine for the first day or two, but now windows 10 will not boot and we have tried several attempts to do a full reset but each time it just gets stuck on a blank screen after about 1-2 hours resetting. We can access the bios which all looks fine but are completely stuck about what to do. Haven't managed to get a response from PCSpecialist yet and as it was a birthday present for our son, would really appreciate getting it going again asap. Does anyone have any idea what we should do now?

Many thanks

Hi

Thanks for your reply - we had tried PCS earlier but just got a voicemail... but we tried again and they were really helpful. Problem solved with a clean install!

Glad to hear it!

When you first boot a PC with Windows pre-installed (whether from PCS or anyone else) you first enter the Out Of Box Experience (OOBE). This is the tool that asks for your region, language, useird, etc. etc. It's not unheard of for this tool to have minor issues, sometimes it even fails completely, and a clean install is the only way forward. Sadly this is a Microsoft issue (the OOBE is part of Windows) and not a PCS or user misoperation one. :)
