Do I need extra cooling for this PC?

Hi,

I've placed an order for this PC and now I'm wondering if it'll need any extra cooling... it'll be used variously as a home office / development / sometime gaming machine. Most of the games will be fairly old, but it'd be great to play Witcher 3 and Skyrim on high settings.

Given the slow Internet we have here, I've opted for a quiet case, as the machine is in a bedroom and may need to stay on overnight.

I'll use a cheap quad HD monitor (AOC - Q3279VWF) most of the time and can switch to my old 1920x1200 Asus (VS24AHL) if needed for a game.

Any thoughts on the cooling? Would it be better to go for a more efficient or quieter CPU fan?

Anything else I should reconsider? (NB I have my own extra HDDs to add in)

Budget wise, I can't stretch *too* much higher.

I'd strongly suggest getting faster RAM (2933MHz) for the Ryzen CPU.

Ideally also the B450 motherboard as it gives you more scope for upgrades.

The stock AMD cooler is fine. And since it's free if you decide you really want something different in the future, upgrading it won't have wasted any money now

The RX 570 will do reasonably at QHD, as long as you manage the settings, and you'll have Freesync to help smooth out occasional lower FPS. You might even experiment with CRU to extend the freesync range.

If I swap the motherboard, could I then swap the SSD for an NVMe drive? Seems that would make quite a difference to R/W speeds.
