Arch Viz Laptop

Arch Viz Laptop

Hi,

Looking for some advice from the people in the know.
I'm looking for a laptop for architectural visualisation purposes.
Using autocad, Sketchup, vray next, Lumion, adobe suite etc.
Have really poor knowledge of the build that would be required,
but I'm looking for a bit of a beast of a machine to run all smoothly.
Open to advice/experiance on the type of price i'd need to spend to
get a machine for professional purpose, would €1,500 - €2,500 be sufficiant?
or should it need more to get the right kit?

Any advice to a technical neanderthal would really be appriciated.

thanks
Jonathan

Will this laptop run Arch Viz programs to a high standard? Please advise....

Hi,

Thanks for any advice in advance,

Need a laptop which is able to sufficiently run VRay, Lumion, Sketchup, Revit, Adobe Suite, Autocad etc
all for Architectural Visualisation porposes.

I am really no good when it comes to whats required (under the bonnet).
I have selected a laptop with componets which I think may be ok but I really could do with some soilid advice,
Its going to be used for professional works in visualisation so needs to have the power to run said programs efficiantly.

Thank you again for any words of wisdom regarding this laptop

Jonathan

Short of buying an Octane with a desktop CPU and an RTX 2080 there's not much you can buy in a laptop chassis with will be much better.

I'd probably buy faster RAM if sinking that much into a laptop, for whatever modest performance increase it might offer.

You could drop the Norton licence and just use Windows Defender, or Avast Free if you prefer third party. Also Malwarebytes free for periodic scans can be used as well as either.

I'm not convinced by the 2TB SSD. Perhaps a single, smaller but faster SSD (something like the WD Black from the M.2 SSD menu) for OS, programs and project files, and an HDD for mass storage?

The dead pixel guarantee and £5 warranty options are worth looking at.
