I've read a few reviews and it seems that the 7950 is significantly better than the GTX 570 click would you say that the GTX 570 is still the best choice Tom? Would also allow some savings on the mobo and PSU.

As I said not very familiar with AMD so looking to expand my knowledge :p

Yes If budget permitted then 7950 would be the way to go, yeah you could drop to 650w'sbut still keep the p7z77 v gen3 pci 3.0 ready mobo, The crack with the pci3.0 is, new cards such as nividia's 600 range and amd's 7000 range both can use pci3.0, all the 3.0 bit does is increase the bandwidth that the gpu/gpu's can send info, therefore pci 3.0 may offer slightly better performance for the new cards, IT will certainly be utilised if you plan to crossfire or sli. Its not 100% needed but personally I think an extra 50 quid or so is worth it, so ya gpu/gpu's perform at full potential.

Cool in that case would this spec perform better?

Based on what you say I'll keep in mind to always recommend the pcie 3.0 ready mobo as a minimum. However all those mobos, even the P8Z77-M and P8Z77-V LX have at least 1 PCIe 3.0/2.0 listed so don't they support PCIe 3.0 too?

I'm guessing you mean that it's preferable to have 2 PCIe 3.0 slots so that you can Crossfire/SLI your GPUs on those slots. :stuart:
