1440p monitor to display and stream 1080p?

Hi there, I have a 12600k + 3060ti setup so naturally I wanna get a 1440p monitor to go with it. However when I'm streaming I'll probably bump down to 1080p for optimal performance. Do you think this'll be an issue as I've heard 1440p monitors often display 1080p worse. I don't know if there are particular monitors that are better for this kind of stuff, my budget for one is around £200

Thanks

For £200 you won't get a good 1440p display. You're looking at at least £280, ideally a little over £300 for a decent one.

As for displaying 1080p content on a 1440p display, it's not ideal, but it's not going to be awful. But you probably don't need to do it: you can run at 1440p and still stream at 1080p. That's what I'd do in your shoes.

Bit late to the party on this thread but I have a couple of these monitors with my 3060ti and they are decent 1440p for HDR https://www.currys.co.uk/products/l...no-ips-lcd-gaming-monitor-black-10225031.html currently about £80 cheaper than I paid for them at the moment on a Curry's sale, I'd say that's a decent price. A little over your £200 budget, but if you can stretch it I think they're good monitors. :)
