Hi i jsut wanted to say i purchased, this laptop and i`am extremly happy with it. Its my secod Clevo for the last 5 years,

Coming from GTX 970 6gb and i7 6820HQ and 8 gb RAM, to i5 10400F Socket 1200 ( i have choosen this cpu just to reduce general cost, i will upgrade in a future ) and RTX 2080 Super, Corsair Vengeance 2x8 GB 2666 mhz, 17,3 Inch LED 300 Hz NTSC .

Amazing laptop, super fast just installed my 1 tb Samsung 970 EVO plus, amazing speed, i will be using it mainly for gaming and may be some streaming,

Tom Clansys Division 2 maxed out , over 100 fps
Assasins Creed Valhalla maxed out 80-90 fps ( perfectly fine fps for me, game looks amazing, comparing to the 35 fps on my old PC )

I will do further testing, during gaming i think GPU sits around 60 C , not sure about the CPU temp

But yes i can feel the power of a desktop cpu and gpu, if you dont mind heavy a bulky laptop this one is definitly good purchase, it has 2 power bricks 280 W each, during gaming i gets a bit loud, but with headphones its ok or just increase a bit the volume of the game and you should be fine,\

Anotehr good thing i noticed the laptop doesent get hot at all, really comfy.

Very glad you're happy! :)

Would you mind posting the full spec from the order please, just so's others who want to follow your lead know exactly what spec you have? Thanks! :)

Just added 1tb 970 evo plus for all my games and 500 gb 970 evo plus for my windows, laptop is flying, but I'm getting another 1tb ssd as I'm running out of space.

Cyberpunk2077 maxed out rtx on runs around 60 fps temps cpu gets hot after 4 5 hrs of gameplay sits around 80 c gpu sits around 62 and doesn't move

I dont know if I upgrade the cpu with I 9 10900k I will go above 60 fps can anyone share some experience as I'm using i5 10400

Im thinking ordering i9 10850k, does anyone one has experience with this cpu on this specific laptop its LGA 1200, does it thermal throttle, i think my current i5 10400f, bottlenecks the GPU and im loosing FPS paired with MXM rtx 2080 Super. Is it a good upgrade to i9 10850k.

for those out there having the same laptop, i just installed my new i9 10850 k very easy job 10 min, changed the original paste with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. to be honest im gettin better idle temps with the i9 cpu idles while just google browsing on performance mode between 35 to 39 decgrees C. GPU idles as well 38 as well, i see mex temps in gaming around 71 C. no thermal throtteling. Im getting only " Current EDP/ Limit Throtteling not sure what it means may be something from the bios, also from the Control Center on power mode CPU max only 4 Ghz, but i thinkg this should boost to 5,2 Ghz ? if im not wrong does anyone know.

What a beast you have there! And regarding the better temps you're having, it's very likely due to the Kryonaut vs the old paste that you had. I'm very curious to know how your laptop would perform on 3DMark Firestrike. Would you mind sharing your results on the below thread?

afaik, the 10850k should boost to 5.2Hz if only one core is being used, which is a bit unusual for most tasks. The all-core boost for that CPU would be close to 4.8Ghz, so you should be getting something like that if your thermals permit. Having your firestrike results would also help us to assess those clocks accurately.

Your results should be looking like the below (found during a search on 3dmark for similar specs). It should actually be better, since he seems to have only 4Gb of a very slow RAM:

The basic difference is the CPU that should be clocking at around 4.8, as I've said. The first thing that would be limiting the CPU would be Clevo's control center software. Do you know which power mode were you using when you run firestrike? If you're concerned about noise, then entertainment mode is the best ratio between performance and noise. But if you want the best possible performance (as when playing heavy games or benchmarking), then you need to change to performance mode.

Hi thanks for the info fo some reason the CPU stay when in performance mode around 4.2 Ghz, it seems something is limiting the CPU, i guess i can increase the clocks with Intel extreme, but i`m not confident to overclock, otherwise the Fire strike test was done in Performance mode in the Control Center. For some reason the CPU overclok module in the control center does not open, i activated it from the bios but does not open,

Have you tried Hwinfo? I'm not sure what you can do to correct your issue, but I would save a log from hwinfo for around 5 min when playing a heavy game (or running firestrike - all of it) just to see the behaviour of temps, clocks and power usage across time. That might give you an indication about what the problem could be. To do it, just

Tick the Sensors-only tickbox and then click on the Run button:

Click on the Start logging button and enter a file name for the .CSV log file:

You can even post the file here and we can try to figure something out together.

I even deleted the control center and try to install a nother one, it seem ok it gives all the info but there is no any difference in the CPU clock when switching between different modes like Performance or Power Saving. it stay all the time at 3.6 Ghz does not boost i even ran a Fire Strike test again and trough all the benchmark the cpu remained only at 3,6Ghz thats why i got like 19 k points wierd , where to download the latest control center ? thanks i will log some info from the gaming and will post it here thanks

The best thing is that i can put it on quiet mode in teh control centerl i still can game at 98 fps both gpu and cpu sits around 61 C, and the fans spin very quietly, isnt that great. The only thing is that in performance mode it clokc up to 4.3 Ghz, i have tested only with Death Stranding game all maxed out

The reason for that is because control center will only limit the CPU, the GPU keeps unchanged at stock specs. So when gaming you'll feel a drop in performance, but not huge since your GPU is pretty good and when running your games at ultra settings, the GPU does most part of the work and you're relying just a little bit on CPU.

You'll see the huge drop when running Firestrike, especially on the physics (CPU only) test

my new best score so far i reinstalled teh control center now the CPU seem to recognise when the control center is on saving mode or performance mode, performance mode sits all the time to 4,8 ghz and as you can see from teh test clocked to 5,2 ghz which is amazing for laptop, when in power saving mode it goes down to 3.6 and even lower, and its really quiet, usually cant hear the fans in just browsing mode. i see a big difference in temps by applying thermal grizzly kryonaut, comparing to the stock paste from Pc specialist
