I am also looking to buy this laptop but can't come to a final decision on the spec.

Can I ask why did you choose Intel over Killer for the WiFi and why did you choose Professional over Home for Windows?

I'll be using LAN 100% of the time which will be fine for what I need, if it needs upgrading i can do so later. I needed professional because this is a work laptop and need some of the features.

Nice! I just ordered one, too! I'm curious though, why did you put a 5400 rpm HDD in there? They're quite slow and ineffective, and a 7200 rpm HDD would have probably been only like £5 more expensive.

You want to swap the V300 for any other drive as they're extremely slow and don't reach anywhere near stated speeds, in fact around half. Any other model is better.

Oh wow thanks for the tip! I was sceptical at first but it turns our there are hundreds of people who report this issue in newer models. I've swapped it for a 500GB Samsung.£15 extra
