You should post this in the 'check this spec' thread.
Include budget, use and the monitor you'll be using.
There are some me things that could do with changing and as your still in the pre production stage it might be worth looking at them now while you can change things around.

Is this still in preproduction and therefore amendable???

@Brayus - I have moved your post and some that followed into it’s own thread. As you can see by the responses your build would really benefit from some optimisation.

If you can respond to this post with your budget, your system uses (gaming, streaming, editing etc) and your monitor (make and model or resolution and refresh rate) we may be able to offer some advice to improve things significantly for you.

Oh okay! My bad! Sorry- But yes, it's still in pre-production! However, I wouldn't want to spend too much more! - Kinda within a £100 - £200 further limit atm. And i'm using an Ultra Wide screen, for the monitor, if that's of any help.

We don’t know what the current price is so £100-£200 more doesn’t really help, unfortunately. We’d need the make and model or resolution and refresh rate of the monitor to help us identify it. And you also didn’t let us know what you’d be using the system for…

Oh sorry, I really don't know tech very well! - The screen I'm using is a: Acer Nitro XV340CKP 34 Inch Ultra-Wide Quad HD Gaming Monitor. The price of the entire system was £1500, not including VAT. - And I just plan to use the system for basic gaming. - Warcraft, ESO, LoL, that kinda stuff, oh and assassin creed games, that's all I really use it for. - So sorry if I miss any further questions, this is all not my usual area of strength.

Not a problem, just really helps to have that info on the table so we’re best placed to advice. So if you can do another £100 or so (not including VAT as you stated), this system would actually cover you much better as a gaming build and give you more of an upgrade path.

Could you explain what the difference between the two is? If that's okay? - Terribly sorry to be a pain! I just want to know, what is the difference between what I'm buying.

@Brayus , if you do change it, and I'd strongly recommend you do to this above cofig, then you won't lose your place in the build queue either... So it'll still hopefully go into build next week, or shortly after.

Of course, no problemo.

The 3800X is an older chip and you’ve paired it with an outdated motherboard. I have the 3800X myself as I both game and do some audio work, but if I was making myself a new gaming platform I’d go for the 5600X. It’s a newer design, far superior in single threaded performance and that’s what you’d be looking for.

16GB of speedy RAM is pretty much the industry standard for gaming right now. Certain titles (usually simulation games or heavily modded city building types) might benefit from 32GB but for your uses I don’t think it’d be necessary.

Having two separate M.2 SSDs allows you to have a small, ultrafast drive for your OS and programs. That’ll ensure a rapid boot time and very snappy operation on a day to day basis. The second drive is then the one you’d use for storing your games library, allowing for fast load times. This separation also has the bonus of you not losing everything if you need to do a reinstall of Windows.

A higher rated PSU is what’s normally suggested to allow you room to upgrade in the future. A 650w unit might be fine now, but if you want a new graphics card in a few years and the power requirement is a suggested 750w you’re faced with buying and installing a whole new PSU. And that job is a bit of a pain. Spend a little extra now and you avoid that future headache.

Please ignore the change I made to the USB/Thunderbolt options, that was accidental and you could leave it as the standard.

Also popped in a good AIO cooler that’ll be more effective in keeping the CPU at a temperature where it can reach peak boost. It’s not essential but it’s more efficient than air cooling and one we’d normally recommend when the budget is there.

Hope that answers your questions, let me know if there’s anything else that comes to mind 🙂👍
