What do you think of my build? Any Suggestions?

I use my pc for gaming, music production, and adobe suite software. My only concern is the cpu will bottleneck my pc, is it worth getting a more powerful one?

Thanks!

*also do I need more cooling/fans?!

Drop the cooler and get a better case. That cooler is going to be like a flammable fire blanket in that 🤣

also, what is your monitor and budget?

You can definitely improve this! The 5600X is a good combination with the 3080, though if you are doing lots of heavy video editing you could certainly think about the 5800X or ideally the 5900X.

With the 5600X, though, you can just use the standard AMD cooler, which is probably as good as or better than the budget PCS AIO (you can also lose the special thermal paste and the fans). For the storage, you can go for two M.2 SSDs (one for Windows, one for games/current projects), which is a much speedier and more convenient combination than your original. Finally, I'd get rid of the audio card. The onboard audio is very good. If you want something better/more elaborate, I'd suggest getting an external audio interface rather than a PCIe one.

This all saves quite a bit of money (a couple of hundred quid, I think) and I would urgently change that case. The iCue 220T would be a better bet, as would the Coolermaster H500. The PCS one is decidedly budget and is the thing most likely to bottleneck/hamstring your system.

This all comes in at under £2200, which (I think!) is quite a bit cheaper, as well as being a better system.

The only remaining question is if you need a 3080. If you are doing 4K gaming, or if you are doing heavy video production work, it's a good bet. What monitor do you have? Is heavy video production important for you?

In theory, they should install whatever you select in that option...in practice I get the feeling it isn't the case, especially these days given how busy they are...having said that, I bought mine last January (before things went weird) and they didn't install Firefox even though i selected it. Not really a problem but kind of defeats the purpose of havign a selectable option
That's odd I specified firefox on both my PC(2 years ago) & laptop (late last year) & both came had it installed as requested, so i was then able to download & install Waterfox

The build specced above by @sck451 is excellent...only change I'd make given your uses is to put in an 8 core CPU and a cooler to match...and changed the case to something with more room (the iCUE 220T is an excellent case, however it is on the small side):

I agree (though the size of the 220T is a big draw in my book, but then I live in a small flat!). If 4K gaming isn't likely, though, I'd probably go 5900X and 3070, rather than 5800X and 3080.

Thanks for this. I'm getting a lot of feedback about my case so will change that, the icue isn't a listed option so will go for the coolmaster h500. I'll also drop the cooler, saves me a bit of money as well!

My budget is £2000-£2400 for the PC alone. I currently have a 144hz 1080p monitor and a 60hz 1080p work monitor I use as a second monitor. after I get the pc I'll save up for a better monitor (most likely 1440p maybe 4k).

My current pc is 8 years old (ddr3, intel 3820 cpu, 1070 super), so holding above 60fps and watching a yt is difficult for it! I'll be happy being able to game and watch videos at high frames until I can get a better monitor!

I have to say, given what you've said since I'd suggest getting the 3070 instead of the 3080, and then spending the savings on upgrading the CPU as far as you can. At least the 5800X, and if you can stretch to the 5900X that would be ideal. Here's what I'd go for (if you want the 5900X, you'll need the Strix X570 motherboard as well).

You don’t really want the Intel 660p, as the write endurance is way less than for other drives. It would be worth getting a 500GB Samsung 980 Pro for OS and programmes plus a PCS 1TB m.2 drive to hold your games, as suggested by @sck451
