A lot of people have been told by PCS in different avenues that the 3720QM is EOL and the 3740 will replace it. Myself included by whoever answers on Facebook. It turns out I didn't get this CPU and was still given the 3720.

What is the official word on this PCS as people are being told they are getting the upgrade but it never happens.

Officially the 3740QM is not launched until the 30th September. We launched it early in error and therefore the 3720QM has been re-listed.

Was it the same price? I see some users of this forum listing the 3740QM in their specs, and it's what was listed as the CPU of the laptop on it's way to me just now...

If you ordered a 3740QM and it is listed on your order, that is the processor that you will receive. :)

Ah, so you've shipped some even though "Officially the 3740QM is not launched until the 30th September". Was a little confused how people could receive them if they had not been launched yet. Thanks for the info ;)
