5.1 sound?

Hi Guys,

Like a few others I'm waiting for you to get your Sandy Bridge systems in. I've been recommended to go with yourselves by a few people so I think its pretty much a given I'll be buying one of them when they come into stock.

My question is, will any of your new systems have the standard 5.1 audio connections? I use my laptop as a desktop replacement when at home and I've noticed that a lot of newer laptops don't seem to support 5.1 output. I've grown rather fond of my Creative Sound Work setup and would hate to have to give them up.

The only laptop we currently stock with 5.1 Audio is this;

I don't have access to the specs of the new models though, best bet is to read through the "detailed specs" tab when the new models are live on our website.

Alternatively you could go with something like THIS if you wanted a different laptop.

I haven't used it myself so I'm not recommending this particular product and there are many alternatives on the market. Perhaps someone else could offer an opinion on individual products?

I hadn't actually thought of a converter but it's good to know the option is there.

Will wait and see when the new systems are eventually in.
