5.1 Surround Sound.

Hi Guys,

I've got a Digital 5.1 surround sound system for my Votrex II 15' I've got the Digital working with DVD's and some test programs but i cant seem to get it to work with games such as Mass Effect 3 etc.

On the test i've got the surround sound set to By-Pass so its jsut using the raw audio coming from the optical output and it seperates all the channels correctly and sounds amazing however the experience just isnt coming onver to the gaming side.

Am i missing a setting or something?

Any advise would be appreciated

Hi SmokeDarKnight,

I'm not 100% familiar with the in-game settings for Mass Effect 3 but usually there are settings under 'Audio' or 'Sound' on games where you can specify what output you want the game to use. Try finding this and changing it from 'Stereo' to 'Dolby Digital'.
