I bought a PCS laptop second hand back in 2019 mostly because I wanted to get into gaming. I loved the fully incorporated GPU-in-a-laptop so much that I soon took to updating, modding and accessorizing. My desk hutch screen made it a double monitor setup, which I enjoyed until the GPU went SNAFU. I nursed it for two more years then decided to bite the bullet and get a new model. I chose PCS after only a little research, as I'd had instance to have help from them being the new owner of an old PCS machine and found them to be good and reliable. Their prices for an i7 13th gen rocking an RTX proved to be very tempting, so here it is now on my desk, underneath my gaming PC and setup as my main goto work machine with extra gaming capability. It's fast and slick and I love installing stuff to make it suit my workflow.
PLUSES:- I added a GPU upgrade and a RAM upgrade just 48hrs after placing my order - this went in seemlessly and makes my machine more beautiful imo. Packaging was immensely secure. Production time was just 6 working days, with full progress steps communicated.
MINUSES: this new one has less USB ports so an external hub is needed (and yeah, I've got some cable management issues I know); the RGB keyboard is only one zone whereas my old had three zones and was customizable - this one is more limited (but I love the timeout turnoff feature); at full CPU loads the fans are quite noisy (but it's easy to change modes in Control Centre 3.0 for a quieter desk), but honestly that's just pointing ot the few negatoves as overall for price, service and BangForBuck this is a hands down winner.
PS 1. Everyone puts stickers on as soon as they get a new laptop amirite? 2. Seventeen inch screens rule amirite?
