Hi forum.
I have recently bought a new monitor: an ACER S240HLBID Full HD 24" LED monitor. At the moment, it is connected to my old computer while I am waiting for my new computer to arrive. I have connected the monitor to my computer via VGA.
The monitor is full HD (like it says in the name) but when I right click on my desktop, select Properties and then select Settings, the highest resolution I can set the monitor to is 1280x1024. This resolution appears 'stretched', so I have opted for 1280x768 - the next highest resolution.
This is probably a stupid question to some of the PCSpecialist forum experts, but is the reason I can't select 1920x1080 (1080p) because I haven't connected the monitor via a HDMI cable?
