Hi folks,
I am looking to build a machine in the next couple of months, mostly for animating (This will be a work machine but I will do some gaming on it too) I mostly use Autodesk Maya and don't plan to do much rendering on this machine, just animating.
As I understand it, Maya doesn't really utilise cores when animating, but instead I would benefit from higher clock-speeds.
The other thing to note is that I will regularly need to animate remotely on a studio computer as well as locally. So it needs to also be as optimised as is possible for reducing latency when working remotely.
My budget is about €2000 but I am will to push that a little further if needed, as this is a work machine.
- I have a geeky interest that I am fighting to keep on budget, in light of the new Nvidia cards. My thoughts are to get a RT 5700 or delay and get a 3070 or 3080 when the dust settles from the hype. Ill have a better idea as to whether if I need it or just want it by then .
- I am using a Philips 32 inch E line 4K curved monitor at 60 Hz as my main monitor and a smaller 24inch curved Samsung as a secondary (Which means the 3080 would be over kill for games but I don't know if Maya can make the most of it.)
Thanks in advance for the help
