Advice on first PC

Budget is between £800-£1200.
  1. Use is primarily for multi-tasking (writing, editing), photo editing (mainly photoshop) and gaming (DBD, PUBG, The Outer Worlds & GTA 5)
Main concerns: Unsure whether to for an AMD graphics card or NVIDIA graphics card (also unsure about monitors). I have experience with NVIDIA cards and know they are dearer but I really like their brand and Geforce Experience programme but I am not sure if it's worth it. Not too confident with the processor cooling as I don't know the maintenance for the liquid cooling and would rather go for air cooling but the options are limited in that area.

Any advice is appreciated greatly.

It's not really true that Nvidia's cards are dearer, or at least not at PCS's prices. Obviously the top end GPUs where AMD has no competition are dearer but you're not shopping in that market anyway. So either's fine, just go for the most performance / best bang for buck at your given price point. :)

Normally I'd say the 3600x isn't worth it over the 3600 non-x but if you'll otherwise buy The Outer World at launch anyway then the 3600x makes sense for the bundle.

Do up the GPU to the RX 590. It's only a little more expensive and gives a bit extra performance, which even at 1080p will be welcome.

If you're not remotely bothered about BL3 or GR:B bundled with the AMD GPUs then you could squeeze in a 1660 ti

Especially if you drop the cooler to the stock AMD cooler, which is fine.

Thank you for your help. I have decided to follow you're advice and go for the 1660 ti instead. I went for the 3600x for The Outer Worlds ofc. I can go a little over my £1200 for a better cooler but I am concerned that something like the 'COOLERMASTER MASTER LIQUID LITE 120' requires maintenance because it's got liquid inside it. I don't want the CPU to be hot but I don't want the pc to be too loud as I use programmes like Skype for business calls and I don't want the background noise.

Also, is there any monitors you would recommend for 1080p 144hz, budget is 200-300 because g-sync is more expensive (even though I like the 1660ti more). The monitor I'm thinking is the Acer KG271Cbmidpx 27 Inch FHD Gaming Monitor, Black/Red. I would welcome any other recommendations, or even if there is a g-sync monitor that's cheap I wouldn't mind paying close to £400 for it.

You'll struggle to do anything intensive enough for the stock AMD cooler not to be effective - SO I'd say stick with it. But just so you're aware, the Coolmaster water cooling kit requires 0 maintenance, as do most stand-alone CPU watercooling kits. It's a contained system.
