Advice on Laptop Build

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on a laptop build.
I have a spec from PC specialist which I like the look of but I'm wondering about the processor and also how this spec might compare to say, a HP ENVY 13-aq1005na. Also curious about the performance of the i7-10510U vs the i7-1065G7.

To be honest I won't be using the laptop for much some light browsing, streaming, email & small office docs and possibly some light gaming (e.g. Age of Empires 2 DE) but I will occasionally want to use it to write and compile code (mostly in Java with a little bit of TypeScript / React / Python going on too). I'd love some advice on how the spec below would hold up, whether or not it's worth looking at a different processor and comparisons with the HP. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Spec is as follows:

Chassis & Display Fusion Series: 14" Matte Full HD 72% NTSC LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Processor (CPU) Intel® CoreTM i7 Quad Core Processor i7-10510U (1.8GHz, 4.9GHz Turbo)
Memory (RAM) 16GB Corsair 2666MHz SODIMM DDR4 (1 x 16GB)
Graphics Card NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 - 2.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 12
1st M.2 SSD Drive 500GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 3500MB/R, 3200MB/W)
AC Adaptor 1 x 65W AC Adaptor Power Cable 1 x 1 Metre Cloverleaf UK Power Cable
Battery Fusion Series 46WH Lithium Ion Battery
Sound Card 2 Channel High Def. Audio + SoundBlasterTM Cinema
Bluetooth & Wireless GIGABIT LAN & WIRELESS INTEL® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (2.4 Gbps) + BT 5.0
USB/Thunderbolt Options 1 x USB 3.1 PORT (Type C) + 2 x USB 3.1 PORTS + 1 x USB 2.0 PORT
Keyboard Language 14" FUSION SERIES SINGLE COLOUR BACKLIT UK KEYBOARD

Thanks :)

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, need a laptop for development using VS 2019 and SQL Server, also some streaming etc but little to no gaming. I narrowed my search down to the Lafite 15.6 and Proteus 15.6. I looked at the Fusion but it can only have max 16 GB RAM.

If I was you I'd up the RAM to 32 GB if you can afford it. This would mean a different chassis but I think you'd notice a decent performance boost with the extra RAM.

More RAM definitely sounds good but I'd much rather have a smaller footprint in terms of chassis. Can the Fusion 14s RAM be upgraded down the line? Am I right in saying there's only one slot and is it soldered?

Not sure if the Fusion can have more RAM. The spec says "Number of Modules" 1 and "Maximum Supported Memory" 16 GB whereas others that allow 32 GB have "Number of Modules" 2 and "Maximum Supported Memory" 32 GB.

Ahh thanks for pointing that out. That's kinda disappointing but definitely good to know.
