Advice re spec of a Mini Computer

Hi there,

I would like a mini computer and would be grateful for advice re the spec required.

I would the computer to small and quiet and for the following
• Internet surfing
• photograph cataloguing and basic photographing editing
• office type tasks including scanning and pdf creation
• accounts
• if possible games but older games such as Civ 4, Morrowind etc.

Are solid state hard drives worth getting.
Also would like at least 6 USBs

Should have mentioned also for listening to music.
Only need to base unit have all the peripherals.

No specific budget but would like the computer to fit my requirements.
Why a mini? I have a small study but also would like a quiet computer which I believe the minis are. Like to listen to music whilst working and my present computer (also a PCS computer) makes a lot of noise form the fans. Would consider a slightly larger computer if it was quiet.

This spec should suit your needs nicely, a quiet case, a very good GPU for the price that will have no problems playing the games you mentioned plus more recent games too, a good value, strong quad core CPU and 8GB RAM for your accounts, editing and multi-tasking. There are ways to save money or further improve the spec depending on your budget.
