AIO Vs Laptop

Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out with a problem. I will be going to University in two years but I am starting college next week. I was looking to get something that would last me from now through Uni that I would be able to use for pretty much everything. I'd be gaming fairly extensively but only on a few games such as Guild Wars 2, Minecraft and possibly a few other things but nothing too crazy.

I wasn't originally going to go for an AIO, but I didn't realise how far they had come along. I like the upgradeability of the AIO without it being to hard to move but then again laptops are easier overall. So if anyone could help me come to a decision it would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: And AIO would be near enough top spec, whereas the laptop's processor wouldn't go above the 3610QM

The PowerGlide Extreme will give you the best gaming experience, and is touch-screen (ready for Windows 8). It is much bigger than a laptop but easier to upgrade. Most students would choose a laptop but the choice is yours :)

Thanks for the speedy reply, I think I am going to get the AIO considering all the negatives I heard can be mitigated fairly easily. The only other thing I was wondering was how a spec like this might hold up in terms of overall PC temp and lifespan. (And of course anything that could be tweaked.)

Hi,
If it is for gaming an i5-3570 will be a better choice. The i7-3770k will be more beneficial if you are planning to overclock your cpu and run applications that are more cpu intensive and benefit from hyper threading like video editing. The GTX 670 is cheaper than the GTX 680 but offers very close performance. A caviar black will be faster than the standard hdd you selected.

Once I get it, I'll try and get a review put up on the forum. Thanks again for the help guys!

EDIT: Thanks for all the advice, but I hadn't looked into the Mini Pcs and they seem to be exactly what I am looking for.
