PCS are an AMD partner so they'll get stocks as soon as they're released. Usually that day. With laptops with the new AMD 5000 series around the corner, and apparently more abundant than the 4000 series, how quickly will these cpus come to laptops from PCSPECIALIST? Does anyone know how long it took when the 4000 series came out?
Oh awesome! Is it likely to be announced beforehand, or do they tend to just suddenly have them in stock? Or are these questions non-employees couldn't possibly know?PCS are an AMD partner so they'll get stocks as soon as they're released. Usually that day.
They’ll often do pre orders as they have now with the new intel chassis.Oh awesome! Is it likely to be announced beforehand, or do they tend to just suddenly have them in stock? Or are these questions non-employees couldn't possibly know?
Abundant? They are in real shortage in the whole World. TSMC (the fab producing AMD chips) can't keep up for all the: Apple silicon, AMD CPU, GPU, Sony+MS console SOC. AMD is the one suffering the most. With laptops with the new AMD 5000 series around the corner, and apparently more abundant than the 4000 series, how quickly will these cpus come to laptops from PCSPECIALIST? More abundant, not actually abundant. And this was admittedly only after some pretty light reading, so thanks for a more realistic update.Abundant? They are in real shortage in the whole World. Expect better AMD CPU availability in the second half of the 2021. Until then, the few latops already available with Zen3 (aka Ryzen 5000 CPUs) are sold for higher prices by Asus and almost nobody else, and nowhere to be found easily.
PS: If you plan that for gaming, Zen3 is perfectly comparable with Intel 10th, 8 core vs core. It's only under productivity tasks (aka redering, multiprocessing tasks, compression, etc.) that Zen3 shines and offer up to 15-18% better performance.
The latest 5000 series AMD walk all over Intel offerings in most areas but keep up in single core, but in other areas that matter like battery efficiency and heat output they utterly destroy Intel, just another league.More abundant, not actually abundant. Where do you get that Zen3 is comparable to 10th gen intel? My impression was generally that AMD provides much better value for money, and that the Zen3 was superior than 11th gen single and multi core. (The last bit was from the AMD website I think, so happy to be told I'm wrong)
I think you’re getting AMD zen2 and zen3 mixed up. The 10875H is roughly comparable in gaming to my 4900H (fps games) and the 5000 series is like 20% gains on the 4000 series.I can't link reviews from other competitors here, but on the SAME CHASSIS, Tongfang, with SAME RTX 3070 Max-P 125W + 15DB (basically the Ionico), same MUX with dGPU piloting straight the screen:
- A chinese variant with Intel 10875H does 121 FPS in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, 1080p Highest no raytracing.
- A germany variant with Zen3 5800H does 122 FPS in the same game, same settings.
If interested PM me and I'll provide the links in the 2 youtube reviews at the precise timestamps.
That's 1 FPS difference. I repeat: same motherboard, same GPU, same GPU wattage, same max boost in the same Control Center, same manufacturer.
I'm not saying Intel is better, but if in a hurry (and I am, you probably can wait till may/june?), be sure Intel 10th gen 8 cores will serve you well IN GAMING. I repeat: in gaming.
Productivity: 15-18% less, I know. But difference is Intel is available right now, Zen3 later in the future, or with massive compromises. E.g. Asus out of stock, and no MUX in their line. Zen3 without a MUX is badly received in esport games. Check OWNorDisown latest yesterday's video: got beaten by Intels w/ RTX2070S of past generation, enough said.
Benchmark links are aboveYou’re going to have to send me that link then, as i just don’t believe it right now
But you linked me to a video, by a chinese guy with 8K views? Can’t even validate specs, for instance... at 1080p, ram latency plays a significant difference. Jarrod is a god literally called the 5800H ‘next level’.No sorry, I don't believe benchmarks with just 2 screens one aside the other. They can be easily manipulated for sake of getting views. I mean, 90% they don't even own a single of those 2 machines. Might have a desktop for what I know.
I only link serious reviewers (Jarrod is a God) which DO SHOW their laptop first in video/photos, then I can believe their results. You've PM btw

There are plenty of benchmarks showing the i7-10875 hold its own vs AMD 4000 series and 5000 series boasts significant improvement.

For a mobile processor, there's literally no comparison, you'd have to be mad to go Intel imho.

Agree with you that Jarrod is a GOD. But its Intel Tongfang got bricked by wrong BIOS flash so we shall wait some more time before a true comparison among them is done by him.But you linked me to a video, by a chinese guy with 8K views? I’ve provided him proof and he just claims its all fake lmao.Excellent, good to see we are still outright ignoring facts...

he bought a 10875H laptop and regrets it, so is on page 3649 on google and stumbled across a video, where an intel laptop beat a ryzen laptop, that had much slower ram.
