AMD TrueAudio?

Hi folks
I'd like to know about AMD trueaudio, will it work on my motherboard if I get the AMD Powercolor R7 360 and use the onboard Realtek audio sound card through my speakers? Or does TrueAudio require HDMI in order to take advantage of it? Cuz I'd love to use it in the game Thief. My motherboard is FM2A55M-VG3.

Trueaudio isn't like a soundcard in the sense that it only pre-processes sound data, and doesn't output it.
What trueaudio does is provide hardware acceleration for certain sound effects that would normally be calculated on the CPU (sometimes using more resources than you'd think). So now instead of having your CPU do all that extra work, the card can do the calculations via the dedicated trueadio block.

While in theory it's a nice idea (if not somewhat redundant), in practice it's not that useful since there are almost no games that can use the trueaudio block.
