Any Advice Appreciated

The other thing worth mentioning is if you've already got an old computer running windows 10, you can transfer the license from that to this one and save yourself a little over £100

Ah, that's maybe a bit technical for my abilities lol.

Nah it's simples.

See https://www.windowscentral.com/how-link-your-windows-10-product-key-microsoft-account. It means you have to sign in with a Microsoft account rather than a local account, but once your existing Windows license is associated with your Microsoft account, on your new PC you use the same Microsoft account to login and your Windows license will move with you. This does mean of course, that the old PC then no longer has a valid Windows license.......

Cheers.

I'd probably leave it to be honest as the old PC will likely go to my daughter as is (minus all my files, music, videos, photography stuff, games etc etc once I've finished backing them up).

I've had a closer look at that and your reasons for selecting some of the components and have to say it does look tempting.

The only thing I'd change is the case as I fancy an RGB case (I think the one you chose was just white light fans) and am looking at either the PCS SR-628B or SR819 or the Coolermaster Master Box MB 530P RGB or Lite 5 RGB.

I assume any of these would be fine?

For RGB I would only consider the following:

iCue 220T Airflow
Coolermaster H500
Coolermaster MB530P (Check google, I don't find it a particularly pretty case when looking at real world imagery)
Corsair 570X

After that the budget starts to get silly.

Thanks for that. Is there any specific reasons for your choices there compared to the ones I mentioned (which in fairness, I simply went for looks) ie aesthetics, practicality, functionality, air flow etc etc?

Cheers!

I've just had a closer look at the 570X and that does look a bitchin' box right enough. I look closely at the others too.

As a non-expert, I'd think the iCue and the H500 would be best for cooling due to the front being mesh and all while the 570x would be best at keeping dust out due to the lack of places for dust to enter. If you will need to move the case around regularly, then the H500s carry handle would be a thought.

And, yes, the Fractal Focus case has just White illumination fans...personally I think it's better than all different colours but that's just me.....my old case had all blue fans and, while I liked that, the white is more understated (and complements the white glow that comes from the GPU!)

What about the red glow that comes from my face when I realise I've spent a fortune on a gaming machine and I'm still bloody crap at games:):)

Currently looking at the Coolermaster MB530P and I'm liking that even better.

If you like it, it's a good case for airflow.

My selections are based on quality & airflow. I've researched them quite extensively while looking for a case myself, and others :D

There are plenty of other non-RGB options, but these would be my choices for relatively high end hardware.

Right, I think I'm about to order this build with the Coolermaster MB530P RGB case and Msi 27" monitor. Is there anything else I should be considering or any last minute tweeks? Cheers!
