Looks ok, change the RAM to 1333mhz and get the silver warranty though.

Overspecified in two areas:

1. RAM - you've added a huge 8GB but gone lower on the processor and graphics card. I would suggest 4GB max for this specification or increase the CPU/GPU to balance it better.

2. PSU - huge overkill. Consider changing down to a 600W or better still a 450W.

Also note you cannot write to DVD's with the drive specified, only read DVD's and Blu-ray discs.

What are you planning to use the computer for?

I want a system that'll let me play games like modern warfare without any trouble and on high settings. Otherwise just using it to program, watch films and play music. But I want it to be future proof to some degree and easily upgradeable as games catch up.

Got sick of using a laptop the past 2 years so looking for something more reliable lol.

Phoenix, I thought 1600 would be better than 1333mhz.
Is there something I'm overlooking by thinking that way?

And Super Star, I might well go for crossfire in future so I was trying to have a psu capable of that (may actually need to go higher I have been told...)

What do you think of the gpu choice? A friend has said go for 5700 series.

The Radeon 5770 is a very nice graphics card if you're on a tight budget, it will be able to play modern warfare and other games on high settings.

Edit: I didn't notice that you picked the overclocked version of the i3-540, it would be better to go with the 1600mhz RAM after all, sorry about that.
