Audio Problem

Just received my new PC today,havent really got round to testing it but have a couple of niggles, firstly the audio,no matter what i try i can only have audio from either the headphones or the speakers even though i might be listening to music through the speakers i can still hear the test chimes in the earphones,tried the fixes/guides off the internet and no joy,i dont even have the realtech audio console.The motherboard is gigabyte aurus pro
Also i ave a pci device with an exclamation mark in other devices,tried updating its drivers but it finds nothing,any ideas?

Oh the new PC looks the biz,cheers guys

nothingout of the ordinary,i have just reinstalled windows and nothing has changed
Clearly there is a PCI device that's missing a driver. This might not be related to your problem but it is unusual for a new PCS build. It would be a help if you could post your full specs from the configurator page as SpyderTracks asked.

sorry, missed this somehow....

it looks like the motherboard audio driver isn't installed, only the graphics audio.

If you go to the motherboard website and download latest audio drivers for your motherboard, try installing those.

Is windows update working ok? I'm surprised windows update didn't find the drivers. Double check windows is up to date.

Tried windows update,im all up to date,installed the latest audio drivers through the aurus app center still have the audio issue,which is tolerable and still have the missing pce device

Did you install the chipset driver first thing?

Don’t rely on the aurus app center, that will only install what’s configured. In fact, I would say uninstall that app center as it's more likely to cause problems.

What version of windows are you on?

Ok the chipset,which one exactly is it as i have installed the INTEL INF
I am running on Windows 10 Pro

i have installed both and its as it was,the audio problem i weird but i can live with it and the PCI problem,it doest seem to be hurting anything could i just try deleting it or should i just leave it be?

Very odd indeed.

If it were me, I'd do a full reinstall and allow windows update to install drivers, there's a chance it won't find the chipset, but a slim chance at that.

This would be my advice too, personally I'd be unhappy ignoring that unknown device, clearly some device is missing a driver. I would do a fully clean reinstall, so boot installation media, choose a custom install, delete all four of the UEFI partitions so that the space shows as unallocated, then select this unallocated space and click Next. The installer will create the required partitions and install Windows into the right one. Once Windows is installed and you've done the initial setup (region, language, userid etc.) run Windows Update repeatedly until no more updates are found. Be sure to reboot every time you are asked to. Windows 10 is pretty good at finding drivers for most common devices and I don;t see anything in your spec that is unusual.

I have done 3 re installs already,and each time its the same,i do all the windows updates,i am just going to leave it,other than them 2 it is running fine,still finding my way around win 10.
If i have any more issues i will let you know,thanks for trying to sort it but im ok

In that case let's see if we can figure out what that device is. Open Device Manager, right-click on the unknown device and select Properties from the menu. In the Properties dialog click the Details tab and in the Property menu there select Hardware IDs. Post a screenshot of that display, it may well help identify the device.
