Basic 27" office monitor recommendation

Looking for a 27" basic monitor suitable for an office PC.

I currently have an HP laptop and I would like to have a larger monitor to increase the screen size to make it easier for those in the office who use it.

Ideally looking £200ish range but that budget could be flexible if needed.

I'm not sure what I should be looking for in spec and I'd rather buy what I need rather than on the basis of "that one looks nice".

All recommendations welcome.

Am I best to connect via HDMI?

You don't mention what resolution you want but my money would be going to Dell, they make some great office displays, i have used them for years at work and have never had one fail, something like this:

1080p https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/dell-27-monitor-s2721hs/apd/210-axld/monitors-monitor-accessories

1440p https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/dell-27-monitor-s2721ds/apd/210-axkw/monitors-monitor-accessories
I would definitely recommend dell as well, the Ultrasharp range are superb for office work.

Personally I would hugely recommend taking the budget leap to 4k though, it's 4 x 1080p real estate wise so you can happily have 4 windows snapped to each corner and they'll be good size output.

Something like this would be an enormous improvement at £229 currently on offer and full IPS panel

Either HDMI or display port will be fine for connection
