Beware of viruses!

I just got my computer back from the local pc repair shop after the it technician spent two days working on it. He said it was one of the worst infected computers he ever saw and that it was riddled with viruses. It was so bad the computer wouldn't even turn on so he after he deleted as many as he could. He ended up having to clean the hard disks, but he managed to keeps some of the more important documents and of course my games.

But the thing is that while i got, and had these viruses i had anti virus software on my computer. And i had run multiple scans and it never detected any, so just watch out.






Also this is'nt a computer i got from pc specialist if it matters?

what antivirus was you using, just out of interest? and what sort of sites were you visiting xD, just kidding children about..

i had kaspersky.....30 day trial. It had mysteriously stopped working so i then tried bitdefender. The bitdefender i downloaded was in .exe form for their website instead of their own installer/downloader. Funnily enough i just ran a scan with eset i bought in store after getting it repaired and it found a virus inside the bitdefender .exe. Who'd have thought?

Yea well i have a year left of eset now...suppose i better get malwar protection aswell.


But wozza you should get it checked every so often by a proffisional so as that you don't get a nasty surprise like me

nah, there is no need, i have linux xD, but seriously, im pretty aware about what i do, and MBAM is a life saver, its probably what they use half the time, having an antivirus on its own can cause a problem though
