What was your original order date?

Anyone know how accurate these “estimated build date” emails are? Live chat seems to think they’re nowhere near accurate. Currently waiting for a build with a 6900 XT

If it's for one one of the 'pre-order' items, then not accurate at all, and there have been posts on here suggesting you completely ignore them.

Nothing in my build is currently classed as Pre Order as i’ve been told by customer services that they cannot foresee an item on my build causing a delay.

well i got a bit of a bummer today entered build yesterday and was confused how it was still in build today so i contacted them and appereantly they waiting for the 6800xt before assembling my build ... Rip my joyfull emotion yesterday but they at least said as soon as they get a new delivery i will be first priority to get sorted out so at least thats good still they did say it could take 2 or more weeks wich is kinda sad :( i thought once you entered building you would have it in the next 7 days feelsbadman Now i kinda wish they left me in preproduction because i was prepared to wait a pretty long time and than it all of a sudden went into building and i was so hyped and now it looks like i will do more waiting at the end of the day...

Thats a strange one, normally your order wouldn’t go into build until all parts are in stock.

yes exactly i was so freaking confused i was like why did you make it go in build in the first place than maybe they thought they had enough stock to include mine and than realised oh we dont have enough of them and i am just one of the maybe a handfull that has the wait a little longer so now my pc is all build but they ran out of gpus ... Like i have never heard a situation like this and i have been reading the forums for weeks

So my build with the 6900XT will be delivered Saturday, this is my first time with an AMD gpu, any software you guys or gals would recommend downloading for it?

Lets just hope that they are wrong about the gpu being out of stock.

Depends which model it is as to which accompanying software to install, but we can give pointers once you know.

Once windows is all ready to go, first thing is do is install furmark and just run a quick stress test. Very simple, if it crashes or BSODS, then there’s a GPU issue.

I’d also install Prime95 and Aida64 to run CPU benches.

once it’s passed that, I’d install Heaven benchmark (free) and Firestrike (free demo on steam) and get some scores so you can compare to similar builds to make sure it’s performing where you want it to.

mall the while you’re doing those, monitor temps with RyzenMaster, make sure the cooling is working as you’d expect.

Thanks for the info, with regards to the stress test surely the pc has already been stress tested when it was In Testing? Will definitely be benchmarking it though.

It will have been done in testing, but things can happen in transit, it's more a personal thing probably for me, I'd test the whole PC completely as if it had never been tested just so I was satisfied myself.

I'm a control freak, need to know things have been done properly :ROFLMAO:

Just as a further:

Aida64 and Prime95 test different instruction sets on the CPU, so they're both worth doing as one can highlight an issue that the other may miss.

Furmark is pure GPU, runs it at utterly full throttle, it's way outside of what any real world usage would be but a very useful tool to find if there are any hardware issues with the card.

The Heaven benchmark solely concentrates on GPU performance I believe.

Firestrike does both CPU and GPU - I'd leave that for last
