I've been recording clips off the telly by plugging in my hard drive and hitting record. The files have recorded into a MPEG-2 TS (.ts) format.

Annoyingly this is not supported by Premiere Pro so I have been trying to find a suitable converter online, but none of them so far have worked.

In the end I decided to fork out £30 for some software only for it not to work

I've asked for a refund which I hope they will provide.

Onto the next one then.... :scooter:

If anyone has any good recommendations I'm all ears.

I've tried Xilisoft Video Converter and now I'm trying LEADTOOLS.

A breakthrough!

I may have found a solution :)

After trying LEADTOOLS, Xilisoft, Movavi...

AVS4YOU is the first one to actually find the files and allow me to hit convert :) Fingers crossed. Hope the other guys give me a refund...

For some reason all I could think of when I read that was a woman slipping on a wet floor and ending up with a neck brace and a fella doing voice over explaining how she could claim against the evil company with the eerie words "no win no fee"...

...just can't put my finger on why :)
