Bluetooth has went missing

OK, so it has happened again. Was working fine and the computer made the disconnection noise and came up USB device not reconsigned. This is now showing again when I open up BT settings, so I am sure this has something to do with it:

BT is also missing from Device Manager. Any ideas on what else can be done?
What method did you choose to install?

How did you install drivers?

Where did you source the the license?

If you log into the Intel website and download the specific drivers for your card that may help the situation.

If it doesn't, we're likely at the position of having a hardware issue. It'll either be something loose, or something damaged. The most likely and optimistic culprit is the wifi card. The less likely but more expensive fault lies with the motherboard, specifically the pcie slot.

Baby steps though :)

I have restarted and BT is there again 🙈 I will leave this for a while and see if it stays and if it happens again I will follow the steps to install the new BT drivers

We need to know where you got the key. Please confirm where it came from.
A site called RoyalKey. I don't understand how that would affect this. It comes on after a few restarts then it goes off again - it seems it is more faulty and I have installed the drivers from Intel and it still isn't working/showing.

I am going to get in touch with PC Specialist directly for troubleshooting. I have posted an issue with my DP port not working either too - having no luck it seems.

@VirtualYoda888 I would strongly recommend double checking if your windows is actually licensed, this seems very dodgy.

But aside from that, can you take a screenshot of your windows update page?

Can you describe what process you went through to install windows?

Where did you source your drivers?

I keep asking the same questions but getting no response. I'm not convinced windows is configured yet.

I do not belive that this is a legal key. Microsoft do not make Windows keys available at that price.

The Web is awash with hookey keys and unless you have proof that it's a genuine Microsoft key we'll have to assume that it's illegal.

We cannot assist you if you're using an illegal key I'm afraid

Windows is active...

I would understand if it never worked but it is appear and then disappearing. The issue is with the drive not Windows!

When I got the PC I turned it on and activated Windows through settings. Bluetooth has worked fine from Saturday. Today it has disappeared. I then done a clean install... downloaded relevant drivers from ASUS (motherbroad) and installed. I have also downloaded and installed the latest Bluetooth drivers from Intel... none of this has worked...

What am I missing?

But what is your idea of a clean install? There is only one method to clean install, but about 4 different methods to install windows, we need to be sure you have in fact done a clean install?

You don't install drivers that way with windows 10, it's not the same as on previous versions.

I would suggest looking up advice on how to clean install windows and drivers and start again.

Until the system is properly configured, you're not on a stable platform.

This is why it's worth buying windows if you don't know how to configure it, it actually saves an awful lot of headache and uncertainty.

Thanks for all your answers and advice mate. I think a simple uninstall of the driver via Device Manager and reboot (unplug the power cord, turn off the switch and hold power button for 20-30secs) has worked. Bluetooth showing and hasn't disappeared (yet)
