Brand New PC Build

Hi Everyone,

Hope your all well.

Would you be please give me some feedback on my PC Build I have made in regards to three important questions;

1.) Budget - Around the £1,500 All in (Current Buils is £1,489.00) however I can extend by an extra £100 or so if necessary.

2.) Primary Use - A mixture of gaming and as a workstation although I might go down the streaming route in time but for now it's primary use will be gaming Hopefully high end max/ultra settings is my key for the foreseeable future.

3.) Monitor - Currently I am looking at getting a Dell P2419H to replace my current monitor so both monitors would be the same.

Thank you for all feedback and advice it's greatly appreciated.

I'd have several questions about this. The first one is to wonder why you're buying a gaming chair! £189 spent elsewhere could make a big difference to what you can get in terms of things that actually affect gameplay. The second is why you would want to buy a second 1080p 60Hz monitor. If you were to save up for a while and get a better, 1440p monitor and GPU down the road, you'd probably have a better experience and your existing screen would be useful, especially if you were to do streaming in the future.

So in your position, I'd want to look at a strong 1080p build that could easily be upgraded to 1440p up the road. The obvious way to do this would be with an AMD processor (I've suggested the eight-core 5800X) and the 1660 Super graphics card. This build comes in at £1442 (without the chair). It would be significantly faster now and has plenty of potential for upgrades in the future.

I'd spend the extra £28 and increase the PSU to the 850w RM....gives further options down the road...the 550w is very limiting as it's going to be borderline for a 1440p GPU and gives no options if, for example, you went for a 3080 level card.
