Hi everyone, I am looking for a reliable build that will last me for the next 5 to 10 years for gaming only, dual monitor setup, 4K and full HD, at the moment i have full HD monitors but i plan to upgrade to 4K, my biggest concern is overheating, that's why i am going for liquid build, please go nuts with any input you may have to below notes, Thank you in advance!
Case
THERMALTAKE LEVEL 20 HT WHITE TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE
***** i could not save a quote with Lian Li case and cooling as it seems PCS do not have them in stock, could not as well choose "i have my own case" for some reason, after reading previous posts and researching online i am leaning heavily towards Lian Li Lancool - any advice?
Custom Liquid Cooling Kit
Liquid Series RGB Extreme Kit - EK
***** it does not matter how much research i do i still feel that i don't know enough about liquid cooling, i will rely completely on PCS and advice i can get here on which Kit to go for, how many reservoir's/pumps/gpu blocks and fans to go for - the aim is for the system to not overheat as i have bad experiences with it (even with my previous PCS build from years ago)
Tubing
Clear Hardline PETG Tubing (Bent/Black Fittings)
Graphics Card Cooling
GPU Water Block - For One Graphics Card!
Coolant Colour
Mayhems Pastel Pure Black
LED Lighting
50cm Red LED Strip
Overclocked CPU
Overclocked AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12 Core (3.7GHz @ up to 4.7GHz)
***** i wanted to go for Intel as my old AMD FX-8350 is overheating a lot almost from the day one but after researching it, it seems unreasonable - looks like AMD took the market by storm, change my mind? as well how much more difference will i see if i pay a bit more for the 16 core version? Does it make sense to wait for any new upcoming processors?
Motherboard
ASUS® CROSSHAIR VIII HERO (DDR4, PCIe 4.0, CrossFireX/SLI) - RGB Ready!
Memory (RAM)
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz (4 x 16GB)
***** does it make sense to change to 32GB DDR4 3600MHz , any advantage?
Graphics Card
10GB ASUS ROG STRIX GEFORCE RTX 3080 - HDMI, DP (Xmas delivery not guaranteed)
***** i would love 3090 but i think there's no point of spending more for my usage, as far as i can play games like CP2077 on full detail i will be happy, any reason to wait for AMD cards? From what i read 3080 is better for 4K and AMD for full HD gaming.
1st M.2 SSD Drive
