I am interested in Vyper 17 with 10875H cpu.
Is it possible to install faster RAM like 2933Mhz or 3200Mhz?

Crucial Ballistix SO-DIMM DDR4 3200MHz 2x16GB (BL2K16G32C16S4B)

Kingston HyperX Impact SO-DIMM DDR4 2933MHz 2x16GB (HX429S17IBK2/32)

I asked:
"Hi there, does the motherboard on the 17" VYPER with the i7-10875 chip have the ability to run 2933Mhz ram as supported by the chipset? Only 2666mhz is available for sale."

From PCS:
"I have a definitive answer for you: yes, the motherboard does indeed support this RAM. Presumably in that case it’s just a matter of finding out if I could request this RAM to become available to you in this machine’s configurator. Let me know about that."

I have asked if he could check if the 2933mhz ram could be made available in the configurator.

Interestingly the manual for this Tongfang chassis is here: https://fccid.io/2AKHFAX201NG/Users-Manual/AX201NGW-UserMan-4694720 and on pg 13 it states that it does support up to 3200Mhz for i7/i9 models but assume that this is irrelevant if the i7-10875 only supports to 2933mhz.

Hello

I am interested in buying the faster RAM too - have you head any more about the 2933MHz version becoming available via the configurator?

Cheers

I have ordered the 10875H and bought 2x16Gb 3200Mhz Ram,
I get my computer around the 10Th of May.
Hey,
I am enjoying the discussion. I am also interested in the vyper, the 15.6.
I have asked the PCS about the RAM speeds and they did not know for sure about the possibility related with the ram. Even said, that maybe it would need an overclock.
So, what you guys ar saying, is that it does not need overclock and it accepts up to 2933MHz Ram.
Can PCS put this option available?
Or are buy your own Ram and fitting it?

Cheers,

yeah i wonder if actually vortex ix with 9750h supports up to 2933mhz as well, @SpyderTracks do you have any idea? im sure stock ram can be overclocked I was running it at 3000mhz with oc but im sure it just showed readings in hwinfo but actual mhz was either stock or 2933 max. I think clevo chassis pb5/70rf supports up to 2933mhz with 9750h but would like to get it confirmed, and also if oc on ram is recommended at all in laptops

2666mhz on that chipset:

You can only overclock ram if it's supported in the BIOS, seldom the case in laptops, but certainly not in Clevos.
