Cables

Can anyone please help me? I'm going to be buying a new ssd soon but I checked all the boxes I got given with the pc from pcspecialist and there were no sata psu cables. Is it possible that the unoccupied sata cables were plugged into the psu and just left dangling around? I'm going to open the side panel in a few days but I'd like to have someone's opinion first.

That power supply is non modular, meaning all cables are permantly connected to it. So any spare sata power cable is probably bundled up in the basement/shroud. You’ll need to dig out the tangle of cables and locate it to power any new SSD drive

Why do you need to know anyways? I'm just asking if they would've left the cable plugged in
So we can a) verify it’s a PCS system as we can only provide advice on PCS builds and b) understand what type of PSU you had and what the cable situation might be.

Thanks for the help, I'll keep that in mind. I can now buy my ssd without worries

I pressume the cables will still be connected to the back of the psu though right? But I just won't be able to do unplug them

Yes, the cables will be connected - because its not a modular PSU they come directly out of the PSU with no option to remove or add extra
