Hello all, so I want to know if i can use my logitech 5.1 surround sound system on this laptop? The surround sound has 3 jacks (1 green, 1 red/pink and 1 black) I can't figure how to set up, as on my actual pc I have more jack slots than on my laptop, if i plug one of the cables into the headphone jack on the laptop then I can only get the front 2 speakers working? Do I have the correct sound card or do I need another device to allow all the jacks to be placed in correct slots? Help is appreciated.

What model is the Logitech 5.1?

I imagine you could feed a male-male minijack out the headphone port into the 5.1 but it would only be stereo...

I think you'd need an external soundcard to get your speakers working correctly unfortunately (ie an external device with the requisite female-jack outputs)
