You do it through control center.NH70RH is the model number.
If you've registered the laptop with PCS, then you can arrange a fix with them, they'll obviously charge you for the parts but shouldn't cost too much if it's just the bottom.hi, can anyone tell me if i can buy a new bottom case for my laptop. as i left it on my cooker and it was turned on and now i need a bottom case for it. thankfully the laptop has survived as im writting this message on it now as we speek so i managed to save the components.
are they now open for business as i can go down there and take this laptop to them.If you've registered the laptop with PCS, then you can arrange a fix with them, they'll obviously charge you for the parts but shouldn't cost too much if it's just the bottom.
You'd need to request an RMA through your online account. They won't deal with you without an RMA number.are they now open for business as i can go down there and take this laptop to them.
there is no other internal damage done to the laptop. i used to build custom pcs for clients and do component upgrades and service for them. so i know my way around pcs very well. and my inspection of this laptop which i might add im writing this message to you on is fully workable. also it is running 3 lotts of csr2 in the background. all components have been inspected by myself to be in tip top order. i just need the bottom plate.I would RMA it anyway. A laptop left on a cooker that was switched on(!) may well have more significant damage than a melted case. Heat that can melt the case has quite possibly trashed some of the components inside too.
Like I said, without an online account and an RMA number, you won't be eligible for any support from PCS.there is no other internal damage done to the laptop. i used to build custom pcs for clients and do component upgrades and service for them. so i know my way around pcs very well. and my inspection of this laptop which i might add im writing this message to you on is fully workable. also it is running 3 lotts of csr2 in the background. all components have been inspected by myself to be in tip top order. i just need the bottom plate.
and there lies the problem, ive tried to register this laptop so many times that i gaver up in the end. as it was bought off ebay as a second hand laptop and the previouse owner had informed pcspecialist of my ownership. but to this day they have not updated my account with this laptop. so how do i get a RMA without these details. that is why i asked if they were open so i could finaly go there myself with this laptop and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.Like I said, without an online account and an RMA number, you won't be eligible for any support from PCS.
I hate to say it but if the owner had transferred the warranty, then you would have received an email to say so. This is nothing to do with PCS, I'm afraid, as we've already been through countless times, this is to do with you and the seller, you need to contact them and get them to transfer warranty.and there lies the problem, ive tried to register this laptop so many times that i gaver up in the end. as it was bought off ebay as a second hand laptop and the previouse owner had informed pcspecialist of my ownership. but to this day they have not updated my account with this laptop. so how do i get a RMA without these details. that is why i asked if they were open so i could finaly go there myself with this laptop and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
I am calling this out as a porky pie. No-one with any professional experience in the ICT industry in any capacity would sit a laptop on a cooker hob whether it is turned on or not.there is no other internal damage done to the laptop. i used to build custom pcs for clients and do component upgrades and service for them. so i know my way around pcs very well. and my inspection of this laptop which i might add im writing this message to you on is fully workable. also it is running 3 lotts of csr2 in the background. all components have been inspected by myself to be in tip top order. i just need the bottom plate.
I was a bit wary too but gave the OP the benefit of the doubt. I don't care how experienced you are, it's impossible to verify electronic components as being in 'tip top condition' with a visual inspection alone.I am calling this out as a porky pie.
