Canon Pixma MG7750 - print nozzle pattern test problem

Hi,

I have a Canon Pixma MG7750 printer and recently any black text is printed out as blurry and not clear. The print nozzle pattern test indicates that the PGBK cartridge pattern is not solid black lines, but has broken lines.

I have used both the "cleaning" and "deep cleaning" options but this has not made an improvements to the print quality. I have also removed the print head from the printer and cleaned it using tap water to clean the print nozzles.

Any printed photos, printed on glossy photo paper are fine.

My questions are; Should I buy a new print head? Or Should I buy a new printer?

On my Pixma MG7750 I use the CD/DVD printing function to print text labels on "inkjet printable" discs. If I did choose to buy a new printer are there any printers with the CD/DVD printing function?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.

Thank you.

I'm sorry but I have absolutely no idea, is there a customer service number you could call to ask some experts from Canon perhaps?

Hopefully someone here might have some idea, but if not perhaps a dedicated canon type forum would be more suitable??
