Hi all,

After a new laptop for the Gf, she will be using it for general stuff, web browsing, and a bit of moderate gaming etc.

Wanted a big screen at 1080p, and i'v tweaked a few other bits and pieces.

Any comments or changes that should/could be made?

Cheers.

A good solid laptop for your intended uses, not much i can think to change to be honest.

The 650m isn't going to blow you away with gaming performance, but for a little bit of light gaming on less demanding titles you will be fine. The 1600Mhz RAM you selected will not really help you in any way, but i think the price is just about identical so no reason not to go for it i geuss.

Apart from that everything looks in order, should be a good setup.

Go with the 8gb 2x4gb 1333mhz ram rather than the 4gb Kingston, only £7 more

Go with the basic wireless, you wont notice the difference unless your broadband is capable of exceeding 150mbps which only a few do in the uk atm.
Go with a better hard drive, maybe the 500gb hybrid?
